No midi playback in Logic Pro X

For whatever reason in Logic Pro X anything midi will not playback, can't be heard at all. If a midi loop or a midi event is programmed my m audio midisport 4x4 midi out ABCD LEDs will all blink at the same time?? Any suggestions?? Thx...Currently I'm running OSX 10.9 Maverick Logic Pro X 10.0.4
