How does LPX/9 actually deal with MIDI channels? (everything cha
This has never made sense to me. I load up several software instruments and record MIDI performances, then I want to export a MIDI file to load into a hardware sequencer. It doesn't matter if I set different MIDI channels in the inspector on each track, or even if I go into the environment and find the instrument object and change the MIDI channels there - all of the MIDI performances default to Channel 1 if I open the Event List. Sure I can go in and reassign each track to different MIDI channels by editing the event list, but I want to actually understand this behavior in the first place. Why does Logic ignore all of the actual inspector/environment MIDI channel assignments when recording these MIDI parts?
