Logic Pro X and Midi Files
Hi! I've got an iMac IOS 10.8.5 and use Logic Pro X, downloaded one month ago. My main problem is related to the midi files management. As a matter of fact, when I import a midi file in Logic, the software changes: - key (one semitone lower), - tempo (I think it uses the same bpm as for the project. This way, I have to change the bpm but, in order to know the tempo at which the file was created, I have to use another external software), - some instruments (for instance, the drums are turned into a grand piano: the effect is there's no drum in the background but a terrible piano sound instead). I have worked (in a PC environment) with Sonar or Cubase and I've never met with these kind of problems that, to me, mean Logic Pro is not a professional one! Any hints? Many thanks! Ashi

Did you verify your Project settings before importing? Logic Pro is VERY professional.
