    Poor quality Guitar Recordings
Hi there - I am still new to Logic and am trying to record my guitar. I have tried with various plugins on and off including noise gate, however I find there is a lot of background hiss in my recording. I am using an m-audio fast track interface into the back of a mac mini, my guitar is a fender strat. Is this hiss just down to perhaps poor quality gear? Would a better interface/cable/pickups perhaps reduce this? I have also tried EQing out the hiss by putting a high cut filter on although I am still not entirely happy with the sound, so any tips are gratefully received. Thanks

could be a dodgy lead or ur gain is set to high. try switching ur lead and c what results you get. Also try recording using 24 bit as it should yield better results . You can change to 24 bit recording in the logic audio preferences.
