EWI 4000s Breath Controller Midi Data to control dynamics/volume
How can I setup the EWI so logic reads the breath controller midi data it sends out and vibrato data too if possible. I have searched for about 4 hours on the web for any help and can't find any set by step help: "Yes. Just open an instrument in the EXS24, assign the breath controller to controller #11 (Expression) and go." This was on the LogicPro Forum at http://logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=83844&highlight=&sid=aefd8d770362d17e76de51204c3b44f6 I submitted a reply to this topic asking where is this elusive breath controller selection? I would love it if you guys could team up with the Michael Brecker people and do a whole training on his enviroment! http://www.ibrecker.com/whitty_ewi.html Here is an amazing performance using just an ewi, foot controller and I think Logic to create loops llive and then solo on top of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOEF7f2HGoE There are just so many possibilities using an EWI and Logic for a sax or other wind player, but good tutorials and help are an absolute must! (or lots of struggle and time (I perfer help). If you can help or point me to someone who maybe I could take some lessons from, perhaps through the new iChat that allows control of the Mac, I would really appreciate it. Thanks for any help!

www.Patchmanmusic.com has a lot of resources. They are especially helpful over the phone if you have purchased equipment from them.

Hi dmmnola, Welcome to the forums & thanks for the suggestion too. Steve H. also answered a duplicate of this thread in his sub-forum. http://www.macprovideo.com/forum/logic/tips-n-tricks&id=9449 Cheers Rounik
