Moving Garageband instrument Library?
Searched for an answer, couldn't find it. I want to free up more space on my macbook pro. The garageband instruments take up 12 gigs. Can I move these to an external hd safely? How is it done? Can I move the entire garageband folder that is in application support? I use Logic, so what is shared between the two?

Hi boo You can move the GB folder to an external HD. Best way is to copy the Garageband folder to the external HD then create an alias for that folder. Delete the GB folder in App support and place the alias in HD > Library > Application support. To create an alias control click on a file or folder and select create alias[i/]. The garageband settings AFAIK can be accessed by Logic as well as Garageband. Let us know if you need further help. Rounik
