    MASTERING SOFTWARE
Hi to all, I have recently produced various tracks in logic, and after bouncing them, they never sound as good as other tracks. The volume is too low and the kick drum hasnt got that "kick" (for house music). I have tried mastering with logic but the results are not very satisfying. Can anyone recomend me some mastering software for mac? that its not very expensive? Is T-Racks the only good software? Has anyone tried it? what are the results compared with hardware? Thanks in advance DUBSATIVA

My opinion on mastering is that if you don't know how to do it, it's best to leave it to someone who does. I should also mention that even though I've been producing tracks for many years, I still essentially have no idea how to master. Having said that, I really don't have a need to send every single track that i produce off to be mastered by a pro, since that's a pretty expensive way to live. If I'm selling the track, then I'd get it mastered. If not i just use either Ozone 3 (as Christian mentioned above) and PSP Vintage Warmer. Both are excellent and I can highly recommend them. Also pretty much EVERYONE uses Vintage Warmer, so you'll have a huge support network via the net should you need it. T-Racks is also probably very good, but I've never used it so I can't offer an opinion.
