Okay, I'll send some tonight with a bunch of different settings. One thing I'll do is try one that uses a sample set that you probably don't have, so we can see what that does. Stay tuned.

Also , if you make a green appleloop with a 3rd party plugin it will not load properly if the 3rd is not present on the other computer. Of course, the green appleloop will play correctly on an audio track in both cases.

Hi Joe, I downloaded the zip, created 4 audio and 4 instrument tracks: - all imported (as expected) to audio tracks without a hitch - playing any loop with standard instrument and plugs was A-OK (kinda cool actually) - playing the nskit - there was audio output, though I couldn't discern what it was. The EXS reported the missing instrument in it's little display window but I couldn't tell what it was defaulting to. - playing the Rhodes Minor Chords - a logic window popped up reporting that "Plug-in "Filterscap" not available!". It played fine but the Filterscap plugin was crossed out in the insert panel. Thanks for the exercise, I learned something! Cheers, Shaun

Cool, it works just like it's supposed to. Now I just wish I could edit the metadata of the green loops. The Apple Loops Utility strips out the MIDI and channel strip data when it saves the files. That seems like a bug, and I've reported it to Apple.

Joe - did you export these by just dragging out of the loop browser?

No, I just went to the folder on my hard drive where they are and grabbed them from there.

Just one more thing on this topic. I mentioned before that you can't safely edit the metadata on green apple loops using Apple's own loop editor. Sad, but true. I've since found out that Loop Editor Plus from Audiofile Engineering can make these edits, and it leaves the MIDI and channel strip data alone. It's part of the paid feature set, but at least it's an option for those of you who want to make lots of loops. http://www.audiofile-engineering.com/loopeditor/

I didn't know about this application.
