I apologize for the delay in getting out last month's TNT. The good news is that there should be TWO TNTs up fairly soon. I'll be spending some time with some of the hidden gems that come with KOMPLETE, including Acoustic Refractions and some cool Reaktor instruments. Tutorial suggestion NI Komplete is very deep and wide in the area of drums and percussion. I would like to see a genuine producer build a drum performance / track for a real score or cue using Komplete sounds. I would also be interested in any suggestions for third party MIDI patterns and performances for purchase. I know that Battery is a tricky one. Are there any MIDI packs in that format? Ultimately I would like to get good enough to do excellent percussion tracks all on my own. What resources are out there for learning "in the box" percussion and track building techniques? I have a couple of suggestions for you. First of all, Groove Monkee (www.groovemonkee.com) has excellent MIDI beats and is a good place to look for pre-existing beats. If you're interested in more cinematic percussion, I highly recommend Drums Of War from Cinesamples (cinesamples.com). At a minimum, check out the 40 minute video entitled "Drums Of War 2 -- Behind the Scenes". It shows how the composer built up a drum/percussion track using Komplete and the Drums Of War samples. The techniques he is using will work with any drum samples. Battery is not that hard to learn, and I suggest you check it out. It is very easy to create a drum kit, modify the sounds and then use it with your own MIDI grooves. Good luck!

Suggestion(s) Focus on wooble and other bass - workshop with different N.I synth (FM8, MASSIVe, R5.5. RAZOR & Lazerbass, PRO53, KONTAKT? ABSYNTH..). Maybe the same with drumsounds. It's cool to know how use and morph differents plugs for design the same idea. Other idea: crazy fx treatments and mangle for any sounds with differents use of any N.I plugins.... A kind of "Grand Final" for this great tutorial. Best Regards.
