Wondering about Tutorials
This is Reggie, bought a lot of Komplete videos, and I saw Komplete 5 instead of Komplete 8. Are their any updates for Komplete 8 or is Komplete 8 similar to Komplete 5 in content? Reggie

Have you had a look at this NI tutorial: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/nativeinstruments303 It covers many of the products in the Komplete range.

I too have the same question as Reggie - and I don't feel the question was answered, Gary (but you do do a great job moderating). I have Komplete 8 was ecstatic to come across 574 mins of this: Native Instruments 102 Complete NI Komplete ...Only to discover that it's about Komplete 5, not Komplete 8. My questions are: 1) What kind of differences are there between Komplete 5 and 8? 2) Are the differences big? Just trying to figure out if 574 mins of this is worth my time and effort... there are so many other good tutorials here to spend my time on. :)

I was personally looking for Komplete 8 Ultimate training. I an still interested in purchasing the product. However, When I decide to finally purchase Komplete 8 Ultimate I would like to have some training immediately available to purchase as well. And to me this is unacceptable. If Native Instruments is putting out a good product, they should have equally good training. When I search for Komplete 8 it does not say which version it is. You have to purchase the product, then when you download and and open it that's when it say's Komplete 5 and not 8 Reg

Re: Wondering about Tutorials
We don't have a tutorial covering Komplete 8 Ultimate kompletely (haha!), but we do have tutorials that cover the new instruments that come with Komplete 8 Ultimate. Such as Razor, the other Reaktor Instruments, and Guitar Rig Pro and its Studio Processors. I would recommend watching the Native Instruments 102 tutorial (http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/nativeinstruments102), to get a good general background on the instruments. Then take a look at the following that go more in depth on the instruments: Razor: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/native-instruments-202-razor Guitar Rig and the Studio Processors: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/native-instruments-211-guitar-rig-studio-processors Mo Volans has an excellent tutorial on Massive: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/native-instruments-206-massive-essentials-mo-volans And if you want to really get into Reaktor watch Brian Cass's tutorial: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/reaktor-revealed-brian-cass-ni Absynth is a huge favorite of mine, so I would definitely recommend Scott Freiman's Absynth tutorial: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/native-instruments-absynth So we don't have a dedicated Komplete 8 Ultimate, but most of the instruments are covered in our Native Instruments tutorial series. If there is something specific from the Komplete bundle that you would like us to cover, please suggest it to us in our Suggested Training section http://www.macprovideo.com/forum/general/suggested-training

Thanks Gary. So I gather from your response that the difference between Komplete 8 and 5 is largely that Komplete 8 has more... ...and also that most of what I learn in the 102 Tutorial is not obsolete?

I've come to the conclusion that 10 hours is a lot of time to spend on a video series that's 4 years old. Doesn't sound that old, I know. But when this video was released, the iPhone had been around for only 1 year! In the internet & software world, 4 years = ages. I'll skip the 102 tutorial and do my best to get up-to-speed with your other recommendations. Thanks,

I'll will probably end up purchasing the 200 series from macproVideo.com I took some time to view the free tutorials and I was impress by the way things were explained. i will leave the 100 series alone. They look to old to me. Thank, Reg
