NI Razor equivalent?
So I'm a college student/ home producer and I don't currently have a $1k to blow on Komplete to get Reaktor and Razor. That said, I'm hoping someone out there might know of a cheap alternative for Razor that would allow me to create that vocoded/vowel sound that Razor is so well known for. Any recommendations would be enormously appreciated.

Hi Steve, There may be a few alternatives out there... but Razor, really is very nice. The good news is you don't need to buy Komplete 9 to get Razor. You can buy Razor by itself for €99 euro. If you want a cheaper alternative I'd recommend Sonic Charge BitSpeek or SugarBytes Robotronic. Let us know how you get on. Rounik

Thanks Rounik. But Don't you need to have Reaktor to be able to run Razor?

You can use the Reaktor Player to run Razor. The player is a free download.

Yup! It's well worth downloading the free Reaktor Player regardless of whether you get Razor or not. http://www.macprovideo.com/hub/native-instruments/reaktor-free-native-instruments :)
