    Instrument Track won't fire
ProTools 10 on a mac mini OSX 10.7.3 Dear Macprovideo, I am in a song which began with a Hip Hop template. I'm looking at the mixer. I have 3 instrument faders in a row. All have an instrument loaded. Two of them work and one does not. All 3 have the same I/O's - in 1-2, out 1-2. Nothing is soloed. When I select either of the working faders, and play on the keyboard, I can see a response in the vu meter and can hear a sound. When I select the dodgy fader, nothing shows in the vu and there is no sound. What am I doing wrong? Regards, Tim PS. I have tried inserting various different instruments, but it makes no difference. PPS. I've also created another new track which DOES work, even with 'no input'. Aaaaaaaaagh!

Sounds like that Hip Hop template may be corrupt. Try this, create a new Instrument. Then move the Instrument from the doggy channel to the new Instrument. See if the new channel with the moved hip hop instrument works. If it does, then delete the doggy channel. And then re-save the template.
