Setting up a PT HD system: best workflows
Hi, I am new to Pro Tools HD and I'm looking for a similar video as the the one about 'Pro Tools 10 102 Exploring the workspace: 3 Optimizing Host Performance'. This one is about native systems. I'm looking for info about HD systems and workflows for songwriting with virtual instruments, doing overdubs, band recordings. Particular about setting up your HD system for best performance for those particular tasks. How many Voices should I use, should I use Delay Compensation when writing with virtual instruments. Or when recording a band? What if I want to do an overdub after creating a large session with VI's? Do I turn off Delay Compensation? Should I use only TDM plugs when recording a band? I have talked to many pro's and they couldn't give me clear answer to these questions. Could anyone give me some hints or point me to a website where this is thoroughly explained? thanks and best regards Hans Vermeersch PS I'm on PT 10 HD

Hi Hansverm, Unfortunately most of our ProTools videos focus on native ProTools. But you can post a suggestion on PT HD under our Suggested Training section on the forum (http://www.macprovideo.com/forum/general/suggested-training), and we can llok into it as a tutorial series.
