    Channel mask thing to work
Hello everyone, I want to simulate depth of field in my photographs. Is the lens blur tool the right tool to do this? Someone told me this would work. I'm struggling with it. Don't understand how to get this channel mask thing to work. Please can someone walk me through the process. Thanks

Hi - It's been a long time since I've used Photoshop, but I've linked this thread to one of our Photoshop courses that specifically covers Selection & Masking -- hopefully there'll be something in there that will point you in the right direction. Here are a couple of additional links to some other courses that also touch on the same Photoshop topic.. https://www.macprovideo.com/course/photoshop-102-selection-masking-techniques https://www.macprovideo.com/course/60-tips-every-photoshop-user-should-know https://www.macprovideo.com/course/photoshop-cc-301-10-essential-photo-editing-tips?afid=E470KLQ7r9
