Trouble going from FCP7 to Motion4(clips getting lost)
Hello, To start I have a HVR-Z5U so I end up with HDV footage. When I import I use ProRes 422. Now when try to take the clip from FCP and send it to motion it doesn't read the clip. When I go and find the clip its saying its a text file which is grayed out and cannot be selected. Yet when I look at the text files properties its larger then any text file could be so I know the media is in there. So my thought is that I have my encode presets wrong and .... Because I'm sure Motion can/should read Apple prores files. To get around this I can export the clip as a .mov and drag and drop into motion then send it back to FCP after I'm done messing with it, but thats a lot of extra steps. Any help thanks
