    Working with BMD ProRes422
HI All, So I'm editing media from my BMD ATEM Television Studio, recorded on their "Hyperdeck Studio" unit, and this is not going well at all! Even she I switch over to proxy, I am still getting lots of stalling/spinny balls, dropped frames on each attempt to play back, and the viewer keeps reverting to a green-screen, sometimes with/without audio. I am editing off of an external drive connected directly via USB3, and this is usually quite adequate, even when doing multi-cam sequences. Another notable symptom - FCPX seems to be reading an abnormal amount of data off of the external, even when there is no playback, background task, or waveform redrawing going on... Does anyone else have experience with the BMD ProRes422 media, and is there something I can do to fix this headache? THanks Eric D - CoralVision
