A friend of mine has an access virus ... that's a sweet synth, you should try to catch one of those ... A hardware discussion is an interesting idea ... anyone else care to comment?

Thanks! Know any labels that might like it as well. No responses from my demo mailings... As for new developments... It is not hardware, but the new version of Melodyne with "DNA" looks like science fiction! Wikkid! http://www.sonicstate.com/news/shownews.cfm?newsid=6281 As for new hardware: The PHONITOR headphone monitoring solution from SPL looks awesome: http://www.spl-usa.com/ Also, Korg just announced a Nintendo DS cartridge that turns your DS into a MS-10 synth... What??? Yep... http://www.aqi.co.jp/product/ds10/ and http://www.sonicstate.com/news/shownews.cfm?newsid=6299

Well, here's a bit of what I've got together at the moment after selling off most of my hardware and trying to simplify... (now I am a bit of a software 'gear' junkie). Below is sort of a breakdown in categories but in my studio it's all hooked together and my live performance setup is pretty much a mashup of any combination of these things running through Ableton Live on my Macbook. (and I'm not even going to get in to listing effects units and such) Sound & Recording: - KRK RP5 Studio Monitors - Sony TC-366 Analog Reel to Reel - Behringer Xenyx 802 Compact Mixer - Samson C03 Condenser Mic DJ Setup: - 2 Numark: TT-200's Turntables - Behringer: VMX200 Battle Mixer - Technics: RPDH 1200 Headphones - Native Instruments: Traktor Scratch - Native Instruments: Audio 8 Soundcard - Korg: KP2 Kaoss Pad Midi Controllers: - Akai: MPD32 - M-Audio: Axiom 25 - Behringer: BCR2000 + Software & Virtual Instruments: - Ableton Live 7 - Native Instruments: Komplete - FXpansion: Guru - iZotope: Ozone 3 - IK: T-RackS - Mackie: Tracktion - Propellerhead: Reason 4 & Recycle - Linplug: Albino - reFX: Nexus (and of course the Macbook) http://www.destinjacobus.com
