    Is It Drum And Bass?
Hello everyone. Tassili Bond here. I recently participated in The Mariah Carey Remix Contest. One of the things people kept saying was that I had done a "Drum And Bass" remix. Now I'm no expert on Drum and Bass so that's why I'm coming to you. Please listen to my remix and tell me why so many people put it in the Drum And Bass category. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Hi Tassili, What is the bpm of the remix? It sounds fast.. I think the hi hat arrangement gives it a quasi drum n bass feel... :-) Rounik

Hey Rounik. The oringinal bpm was 89.5. I doubled the tempo to 179. But the only thing that's actually sped up is the high hat loop that I added which implies a faster tempo. The bass, brass, strings, piano and vocals remain at 89.5 in reality. Other than that I added claps, a kick, and that space crash sound(one I made in Logic that I call "hydraulics") and that was basically it. Here's a link to the original version.
