Hey guys! I was just wondering if you had the inside scoop on whether or not there will be a beat detective/ audio quantizing type program in the future version of Logic? Well I guess the thing I want to achieve is to be able to quantize audio. So if I record a bass part, I want to be able to lock it tight to the grid. If I record a rhythm guitar part, I want to be able to get those strums sounding perfectly timed. If I record a vocal part or a double, I want to be able to lock those in as well. So if that is covered in that tutorial, I'll pick it up, but I want to be sure about what I am asking for. Thanks rounik, let me know

Hi Mike, Beat Quantizing (beat mapping) allows you to lock the grid to the audio in Logic... I think the techniques may involve more manual tweaking than Beat detective though... Have you looked carefully through the contents of the 201 tutorial and watched the preview videos on the same page? The tutorial IMHO does cover the best that Logic offers for advanced working with & quantizing audio. Cheers Rounik
