Logic 7.2.3 with M-Audio Project Mix I/O, M-Audio Keystation Pro
Hi: Having a continuous problem with the M-Audio projectmix I/O and Logic: 1- When I launched a project in the past and used the M-Audio keystation Pro 88, hitting certain keys on the keyboard would spin Logic into various windows - mixer would pop up, score, etc. With the new 1.8.2 firewire driver, this issue seems to be temporarily resolved. 2- Another problem is the faders don't come up when Logic is initialized. This is still a problem even with the new firewire upgrade. I have to go to preferences/control surface/setup, click on the control surface, which is listed as Mackie, and delete it. I then shut down Logic without saving changes and re-open the program. That seems to do the trick. After speaking with M-Audio tech-support they deny this is a problem with their software and say that it's a Mac issue. Of course, I don't buy this at all. They also recommend that I not use the firewire port in the front of my G5 and to pull out the firewire cable associated with the cinema display using the firewire port in the back of the G5. However, this creates a problem: Your iSight camera no longer works! Similar experiences? Have you found any resolutions?

Found a resolution on the Logic forum: Instead of deleting the control surface, you can go to preferences/control surface and click on rebuild defaults. Your faders should come back up. However, they are listed as Audio 1-8 on the LCD of the Project Mix I/O. M-Audio really needs to recruit some proper software engineers.
