    Logic Express: Video Uploading Trouble
Hey I just started using Logic express for its scoring capabilities. So far its been great, but ive ran into a bit of an issue. For some reason the film clips that I choose don't want to play the music I have made for them when I upload them to the net. Is there anyway around this? Thanks a lot! Turtle.

Hi Turtle, welcome to the forums! Can you run through the procedure you follow to export the music and video from Logic? Also, have you tried testing the video before you upload it in Quicktime? BTW, what version of Logic Express are you using? Cheers Rounik

Hey thanks for responding so quickly! Yes I have tested it out and it works perfectly. My problem only happens when I upload. All I do to upload is Options>Movie>Export Audio to Movie>make sure what I want included in the clip is highlighted then save it and follow through with the rest. For uploading the clip I just upload it like I would with any file; by simply choosing the clip from what ever folder its living in and just click to upload . Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas!

Hi Turtle, Merry Christmas to you too :-) I am wondering if your quicktime movie is a self-contained movie or a "reference movie" (you can see these options in Quicktime when saving a movie. Also, this may sound obvious - but are you 100% sure you are uploading the correct movie file? If the movie file is working fine (with correct sound) on your Mac, it doesn't make sense that once uploaded it plays the old sound... Let me know how you get on. Cheers Rounik

Hi, and happy holidays! I believe that your problem arises from that confusing little dialog box that asks you what tracks you want to KEEP from the original movie. Those tracks are "preselected" by Logic so what you must do, in order to have only the new tracks on your "new" movie, is to deselect them by clicking in the background of that dialog box. That way none of the old tracks will be present in the new movie. I hope this helps. Steve H

Hey Steve that seemed to work I have my own sound uploaded! But the sound effects from the movie have disappeared! . Is it possible to have both my sounds and the original sounds from the clip play at the same time? I can do this when I export to my desk top or any givin folder but I can not get it running when uploaded to the net!

When you begin scoring create some audio tracks in the arrange. Then, import your movie. Next, goto: Options>Movie> Import audio to arrange. This with bring in all the audio from your movie onto audio tracks in the arrange. Then do your music and effects... mix the levels and then "Export Audio to Movie" making sure you don't keep that original movie audio by deselecting as a said above before you bounce. This way, all the audio, new and old will be in your arrangement and you can do what you want with it!
