access priviledge?
been using logic for over a year, but only started delving into the loops recently. often when dragging a loop into the arrange window i get a warning that i do not have sufficient access priviledges and logic cannott save the overview. this does not happen on all loops, mostly jingles and esemble stuff, how do i get ACCESS?do i need it? it doesnt seem to effect the loop in the arrange window at all.

Hi, The next step is to Go to that file / folder in the Finder. CMD-I to open Info for that file/folder In the Sharing and Permissions section click on the lock (to unlock if needs be) and set your permissions to "read and write". Let me know how that works for you. Cheers Rounik

to be sure , as i am techtarded, i open the info dialouge from the logic file im working in, in this case "voice over ,george march09" at the bottom of menu i open the drop down revealing whats inside sharing and permissions, in my case it says"you can read and write" i see the lock symbol at the bottom corner, it is locked. should i unlock and toggle back and forth from read and write to other? also...i re-verified permissions following repair and i see (warning:SUID file "usr/bin/setregion" has been modified and will not be repaired.) , if this is more an apple issue, let me know, i will contact tech support there.again thanks for your help.

Hi brezerkr, The file you should check the permissions of is the Apple Loop or the whole apple loop folder... e.g. In the Finder go to HD/Library/Audio/Apple Loops & choose File > Info Click on the little padlock, enter your password if prompted, and choose the read & write permissions. Importantly, to make sure that all files & folders within that folder are also set to "read&write" click on the cog wheel and select "Apply to enclosed items": Regarding the SUID file warning message, I've found some similar warning messages in this Apple support document: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1448 What are your Mac system specs? OSX version? etc? Cheers Rounik
