    resizing midi regions
why can't I re size the left corner of a midi region to make it shorter? can't logic just remember the midi so I can expand and shorten the region to experiment with how I want the arrangement? it does it with audio files. I'd rather not cut it up and throw the beginning of the region away in case I want to use it again. and muting the newly cut region instead of throwing it away is messy. thoughts? work arounds?

    Re: resizing midi regions
Hi Tieg, I agree. It would be really nice to be able to resize a MIDI region from the left/start point consistently. I find if a MIDI region has notes before the point you want to resize to then resizing the left boundary will not go beyond that point properly. If there are no MIDI events/notes before that point it will resize the left boundary of the region to that point. One tip in Logic 9 is to highlight the section of region you wanted to shorten and then press the M key to Mute the left region. Not ideal but almost as quick as being able to resize the left boundary. Cheers Rounik
