How can I access environments between different song projects? Logic 7 user here.

I think in L7 it's the same as L8 and L9 : open the Environment and choose Options > Import Environment > ... or have both projects open and copy and paste between projects. :) Rounik

So what I'm doing is building layered pads in the environment and then trying to save them, in the environment is there a way to do that?

    Re: Environment question
When you save a project then it's Environment is saved within the project. If you create a new project, then you can import the previous environment using the method in my previous post. Alternatively, in L8 and 9 when you have created the Environment, save the project as a template and then you can choose to create a new project based on that template. Otherwise, it can be useful to save your favourite environments within one project and copy and paste layers between projects. Cheers Rounik

that's what I'm going to create a project with bunch of saved layers and copy and paste them into song projects. Now when I do that does it copy instruments along with the environment. So if there is two instrument tracks will those replace the current instruments in the project?

Probably a good idea not to copy and paste Channel strip objects. ..
