    Don't install Logic 9.1 !!!!!!!!!!
Man!! I'm sick and tired of having to reinstall Logic 9.0 because 9.01 and 9.02 ws crap. Both of those updates were not loading my samples into the exs24 correctly. Now with 9.1, there's a bigger issue. I use a lot of groove templates that I customly made myself to make just about all of my music at some level. When I click on the quantized arrows, they don't show up in the menu. Instead their is empty space where they use to be. You can actually select the empty space, but when you do, no name shows up in the quative window as expected and it doesn't effect the midi region you've selected. When you go to where you have your groove templates located on your project and make a groove template to add them, when you click on the quantize arrows, it shows that the names of them are added after the empty space where they should be. Sometimes a couple of them are added in the correct space. To top that off, when you anylize your custome groove templates in the list window to begin with, they are all hosed up. Even when I open up old projects with my groove templates, they are messed up and all the other visible issue show up in those old projects. I would not trust the midi functions fully on this update. Now I gotta install Logic 9.0 again!

dwalu, I lost all of my Hypercontrol capabilities for my Axiom Pro 61 after I updated. I'm pretty sure this isn't a Logic issue, but it is quite annoying to have things messed up considering how long it will probably take M-Audio to figure out what's going on. Luckily, I can still input and record MIDI data. One issue I have noticed immediately is that my system overloads on songs I've arranged when I've never had an overload problem before. I'm not sure what could be causing this, but I do know for sure that I made NO changes to the song. I was actually going to bounce it and try out some of the techniques I learned today from Steve's Mastering tutorial. Jamie

I'm never going to update Logic 9 again. I always end up waisting my time. I never had any problems with 9.0, as far as how I make music. I'm now waiting for the next disc. This will take at least an hour. Another day waisted.

After the update, you should have 2 Logic icons on your computer. If you're experiencing some issues with Logic 9.1, 9.0.2 is still available in your Applications folder. I hope it helps! Christian

Christian, I thought that would be an easy fix, too. Unfortunately, using that version still rendered my controller virtually useless. Note input and PB/Mod wheels are pretty much all I have now. Jamie

Hi dwalu, The MIDI functions I've tested in 9.1 seem fine... but the custom Groove Template menu seems to NOT display the names only. Hopefully this is a simple fix we'll see shortly? In the meantime I'd recommend using the Logic 9 app in your Application folder. There is NO need to re-install Logic 9 from scratch just yet. :)

Hi Jamie, In Logic 9.02/9.1 when you move the knobs on your MIDI Controller, is anything displayed in the MIDI In area of the Transport? Rounik
