Hi, I've been playing around with the Ambient Music Generator that was described in the Feb chapter of Logic 303 (Logic TNT 2). Its a very cool thing. I have what may be a silly question, How do you record the output of the generator while still adding notes to the loop in real time? Any help with this would be much appreciated. Many Thanks.

OK, I found this; http://www.macprovideo.com/forum/logic/tips-n-tricks&id=16142 which works great. But I'm still sort of confused because the different voices (channels) all end up in one track. I think I'm not getting the "the channel strips would need to be set to corresponding midi channels" part. I have the channel strips set so Inst 1 is set to MIDI Channel 1, Inst 2 is set to MIDI Channel 2, etc. Can anyone shed some light on this? Many Thanks

Hi Koan, Try using a Channel splitter object (in the Environment) to split the channels. :) Rounik

Can you help me out with more about how to set up the delay loop so individual instruments will record their own output only? Currently all the output ends up in one track. Hi Koan, Would you mind uploading and posting your project here so I can take a look at it? A good way to upload is to right click on the project folder and choose "Compress..." and then choose a free site like www.sendspace.com to upload and host the project file. Then paste the URL here. Hi Rounik, Thanks very much for getting back to me. I think I figured it out. I checked along each signal path to be sure the channel settings all matched for the track in question and found some discrepancies. After tweaking them it all seemed to work OK. Thanks for your help getting me over the hump in this project. Much appreciated.
