OMF creation...
Some basic video/audio questions... I've imported OMF files into Logic and ProTools before to sync up picture and audio, but if I have a Quicktime video, can I use anything in the Logic 9 Studio to create one, or is that purely a task for a video editing application? I'd like to separate the audio, play with it and then marry it back to the original... And a side question: is 16/48 the standard setting for broadcast video and 16/44.1 the CD standard?

Hi Sammy, Sure thing. You can separate the audio from a video in Logic, edit, play with it, add more audio / MIDI track to it... and export the audio to the Video all from within Logic. Have you checked out the Logic 203: http://www.macprovideo.com/tutorial/logic9203 Steve navigates the most efficient and cool ways to work with video in Logic. I also wrote a basic blog post about importing video into Logic here: http://www.macprovideo.com/blog/logic-pro/started-film-video-logic-scoring-picture Oh, and yes.. 16/48 is the standard for Broadcast video and 16/44.1 is the CD audio Standard :) :) Rounik
