Hi: I was doing the tutorial chapter 2 section 5 where you show how to audition loops. I am listening to the beats...but when I listen to sample beats the beats are being cut off. They are repeating in a cycle but they are not finishing. For instance...if I am listening to a 4 bar beat the beat starts over after playing maybe a bar and a half. How can I remedy this?

Hi Bernoulli Welcome to the forums :) What is the Time signature set to in Logic's Transport. Make sure it is also 4/4 Out of interest what version of Logic are you running (and OSX)? What sample rate is your project set to. Does this happen with a particular loop in the Loop Browser and can you replicate this behavior in a new project? Thanks Rounik

It was set to 4/4. I'm running Logic Express 9 I have OSX 10.6.4 Sample rate was 96.000 khz It was happening to practically every beat loop when I was sampling the beat loops. I would not happen when I selected a beat to a track.

Ah... yes, this is a sample rate issue. If you bring your project back down to 44.1 you'll notice the error doesn't happen any longer. Unfortunately, this is an issue with previewing loops from the Loop Library and high sample rates. Do you need to use 96Khz for your projects? What is the end delivery medium? If you're producing for CD/AAC/mp3, then 44.1 will give you better performance and "arguably" not much noticeable audible difference IMHO. Hope this helps Rounik
