    Re: creating groove template
Hi dj zaga, Welcome to the macProVideo forums! I'd highly recommend checking out the appropriate videos in the Logic 102 Flex Time and 201 Masterclass. (You can search for topics in the Tutorial search field - top right. e.g. I typed in "Groove template" without the quotation marks and the search results showed me the tutorial and videos where that term is discussed). Anyway, here's a brief run through, first on how to create a Groove Template and then how to apply it to audio regions: - Create a Software Instrument track under your audio track. - In the Arrange area, double-click the audio region to open it in the Sample Editor. - Choose Factory > Audio to Score... - Choose your settings and click "Process". This will create a MIDI region with notes relating to the transients detected. - Select the MIDI Region and give it a name which makes sense to you. - In the Inspector from the Quantize drop-down menu choose "Make Groove Template". OK. You can now apply this groove template to any MIDI region in your current project. But you want to apply it to other audio regions, right? OK... - Select another audio region and in the Arrange and turn on Flex view - View > Flex View - Select the Flex mode from the Track Header. (e.g. Rhythmic or slicing might work well for beats depending on your material). - Finally, from the Region Parameter box in the Inspector choose the Groove template from the Quantize menu to apply it to your audio region. Hope this helps Rounik
