Re-scan plug-ins and software instrument default
Hello, 2 quick questions. I picked up a 3rd party plug-in Way Out Wares timewARP 2600. It works in stand alone, but Logic does not recognize. I tried re-booting (which usually solves), but still no sign in Logic. Way out Ware suggested the following "You should try to re-scan your plug-ins in Logic. This should cause Logic to recognize TimewARP 2600. You do this by using the AU Manager." I do not know where to do this operation. Could you help? Also, I picked up Logic 9. Now when I select a software instrument, it defaults to EVP88. Can I set default to no setting? Could you tell me how? Thanks!!!!

Hi blkbrd57 You need to use the Audio Units Manager. If you have the Logic 9 manual you can read about it on page 313. Choose Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio Units Manager then choose 'reset and rescan selection'. For your second question, check out this thread - http://www.macprovideo.com/forum/logic/logic-pro-express&id=33390 In a nutshell, when you add a new software instrument track, you need to uncheck the 'Open Library' box. Hope that helps! Cheers Hamish

Hey, no problem! I had the same things happen with some third party plugins, so it was fresh in my mind! Glad it helped :)
