    L8 101 - Lesson 32 - the summing effect
    Martin, first of all I really like your new tutorials! When I use a bass drum and a bass track and you don't hear the bass. Is that also an sample amplitude problem or more a frequency problem? Or both? Heimi

    Probably both. Especially in the sub ranges, where the frequency bands are soooo big and take up so much of the audible spectrum, it's important to carve some space for your sounds so you on't end up with a bunch of mud oozing out of your speakers. In the Mixing Chapter, I will talk about sidechaning compressors so you can compress the bass with your kick drum ... that can help to give both more presence in your mix. Aditionally, use the EQs ... :) ...
