Problems with editing audio from a QuickTime movie and exporting
Jan 29th, 2013, 08:36
Okay, so I created a video in iMovie, transferred that movie file to QuickTime, pasted the QuickTime mov file into Logic 9 and proceeded to edit the audio file as usual (changed audio track from mono to stereo, added some reverb). Next, I saved the project and exported the newly edited audio file back to my original QuickTime movie. I played the new QuickTime movie to make sure the edited audio file transferred, and it did. However, when I go to my Logic project folder and play the aif file (just the audio track not the video/audio QuickTime movie) in iTunes or any other music player, the track is not edited at all. The audio is still in mono and the reverb is not applied... Why are my changes not saving to the aif file?
I also want to mention when I post the QuickTime movie (mov file) onto YouTube it uploads in mono even though the actual video plays in stereo on my computer. I am really baffled by this because I created a video just a month ago, edited it Logic, uploaded it on YouTube and had zero problems. The issues above are completely new to me.
All advice is welcome! I'm so desperate to fix this problem. :(
Thank you.
