Audio Recording Issue Logic Pro 9
When I record audio in automatic punch in and cycle mode simultaneously the recording will stop before reaching the right locator after a few takes. I have to record without locators on a new track or set the locator about ten times longer the the bars that I need to cover on the previously recorded track.

That is very strange. What version of Logic are you using? You say that when in cycle mode that 'it will stop before the right locator after a few takes'. How many takes does it record before it stops? Does it record the same amount each time?

Seems to get shorter as I do more takes. I am using Logic Pro 9 latest version. I would set up a take to automatically punch in around 8th bar and punch out after 14th bar. First the monitoring bar would start really fast and reach the end complete its run before reaching the punch out point and stop recording. if I wanted to keep recording until the 14th bar I would have to set the cycle to for example {8th bar to 50th bar}. It never did that before, it started doing it one day for no apparent reason.

This is very strange. Try this out. Create a new user account on your Mac. Then log into that account. Launch Logic and then test out the cycle record in a new Logic project. If this works, then it may possibly be a corrupt Logic preference file under your user account. If so, let me know and I'll give you the steps on what to do to create a new Logic preference file.

Take a look at the following article: http://www.macprovideo.com/hub/logic-pro/trash-talk-guide-reset-logics-preference-files It explains how to delete your Logic preference file. Make sure to make a copy of your key commands before you do this. Go to Logic Pro > Preferences > Key Commands Under Options choose Export Key Commands. save a copy to your Desktop. Then once you have deleted the preference file, come back here and choose Import Key Commands and import your Key Commands file.
