Short cut button for RECORD in logic 8
lets say im recording bass, in logic 7 if i laying a track down and i make a mistake, i could simply press the short cut record button on my apple keyboard and it would go back to where i set my locaters and i could record my track again. in logic 8 when i press the short cut button for record it doesnt go back to the beginning of my locater. i keeps recoding. so i have to press the space bar and then i have to delete the track which is very time consuming. am i missing something here, do i need to tick a box to activate it to work in logic 8? thanks lib

If you want to replace the audio take. just hit the "X" (replace button) button in the transport bar. It will replace the audio take with the new one... so it won't be necessary to delete the first take. For me, when I hit the record key command, the recording starts at the left locator as usual. Are you sure "Cycle" is on ?
