    project messed up after reopening
Hello all, I have been using logic for some time now and have never witnessed anything like that before. I saved and closed the project then opened it and it didn't sound the same, as a matter of fact it was a terrible mess. it turned out that most of the software instruments and effect plugins, both the ones that come with logic and third party, had all the settings turned to default. that means e.g. ultrabeat and exs24 not loading the samples I set up before but the default ones and all the knobs turned to default, imagine what it does to 16 track multiinstrument. it already happened twice, the first time I was hoping it was a bad dream. It is as if saving the project worked only for the arrange window. I recently installed a third party software called UVI workstation and I thought it may be the cuprit. But the problem also concerned a project that didn't include the UVI at all. It makes it practically impossible to work in logic. I really hope some of you guys can help because it's terrible. I'll really appreciate any help regards my setup: imac 2012 27'' 32 gb ram intel core i7 os mavericks third party soft: NI razor kontakt player reaktor player UVI workstation

Which version of Logic are you using? Have you tried to revert back to a previous version of the project to see if that helps. If you're using Logic X you can go to File > Revert to, and choose a previous saved version. See when it reverts back to a previous versions if it retained the correct instrument and audio settings.

Thank you for the reply. I am using logic 9 unfortunately. Is there a way to do that in logic 9?
