I just read in the Logic 8 "late breaking news" document that the Apple remote can control Logics play, stop, record (etc.) functions. I've got an Apple romote, but it doesn't seem to work. Were do I point it? Is there some trick to this? It would be very cool if it worked. Please let me know if anyone has had success with the Apple reomte. Thanks, Eddie

If you are pointing the remote to a PowerPC G5 there is no infrared receiver on that one so you cannot use it. I use it on my MacBook Pro in a studio and it works really cool. Though clients think you are are goofing around but it is actually very handy :)

Hi Rick, Thanks for letting me know. I was pointing and clicking the remote everywhere hoping that something would happen. I'm using a PowerPC G5, so I guess I'm out of luck. Too bad, it would really be handy when I'm the engineer and one of the musicians. Thanks, Eddie

u can buy an IR reciever for the G5 check out twisted melon on the net its about $40 just trying mine at the mo.
