checking sample rate and bit depth of an audio file?
Sometimes I'll be looking through a finder folder or on my desktop and I'll see an audio file that I want to examine but I don't have Logic open or any other DAW. What is the *simplest* way to quickly find out the sample rate and bit depth of an audio file(s) in this scenario? Is Quicktime usable for this? Or, should I just always open Logic and find the file in my browser? Thanks!

Hey CoFane, I usually open the audio file in Quicktime and hit Command+I to view the Info Window, which shows the sample rate. Another way, is to use an application like Audio Finder by Iced Audio... I believe it displays the Sample Rate... :) R
