So thankful and impressed by Martin's logic 101 series. Just wanted to say thank you. What a great teacher.

Hey, this may be one of those really obvious questions, but I'm stuck. I'm used to setting eq in a few different ways. I'm used to using knobs for higs, mids, and lows.... I'm used to notching out rattles and buzzes using a prametric eq or notch filter, and I'm used to using a 31 band eq. But I'm totally in the dark as to how to efficiently and effectively use the equalizer in Logic's channel strip. I'm deep into the MacProVideo training series, and I see them using it, but I still don't really get it. Is there a tutorial that anybody knows of, or a "how to" on this kind of EQ. (what is it anyway? Graphic EQ?) I'm sure I can get it, but clearly I'm missing something at this point. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks, Adam

So, my just updated version of Logic 9 does not seem to offer frameless floating windows as is suggested in Core Logic 101, lesson #148. Is there a way to enable that? Wanted to float my mixer. Went to the mixer's "view" menu as Martin says to, but there is no "frameless floating window" option. Any idea why that might be? Thanks!!

I'm not sure if I was in the environment or not. I was following along with Martin in lesson 148, so I assume I was. Anyway, I agree, I don't think I'll be using that a whole lot. But I figure I SHOULD be able to do anything he shows me how to do, and by following along, I gain experience navigating my way around Logic, right? Hi all, now that I've been through maybe 500 of the Logic videos, they are all starting to run together. Can somebody remind me if/where I saw a MacProVideo on copying from one project to another? That is to say, I have a multiregion song that I've worked really hard on, automated, tweaked, set tempo, markers... the whole 9 yards. And now, I want to move it to another project (that may have a different set of instruments/tracks, etc) because maybe I want to make it a two song mashup or something? I just wanna pick up everything from the one project and have it open in the other. Can I do that? Are there videos in here somewhere about that kind of thing?

Cool. So I checked that video out again, followed along with a project of my own, but the tracks I brought into the new project were all misaligned. (The entrances were all of.) Is there a more in depth video tutorial of how to do this that you might know about? Because that didn't really work. But thanks for reminding me about that video. Good start. :-)

Hi, I'm new to mainstage and spend the last few days watching Bill Burgess' video tutorial. Have to say that I was really impressed with his videos. I feel like he is my new friend. (kidding about the new friend part... but his tutorial really rocks!) Gotta say that this whole macProVideo thing is new to me and between Bill's videos and the Logic 101 series, I'm totally sold on this subscription and only wish I had joined up years ago. Anyway, I was wondering if there is a place where one can download pre-constructed templates. Obviously I will want to make my own from scratch one day soon, but I figure looking at how other people construct their templates would be a good thing for me to study. I'm especially interested in a template that would have a multi-trac looper (synced... like a boomerang or a boss can do) and a template that has two real instruments (sent to two different pedal boards and amp designers) and two vocal mics (again with disparate settings)... or better yet, a template that has everything I use on stage (I know, I know... I'll have to build my own :-) but I'm a little intimidated at the moment with all the options and fitting everything on one screen. 2 guitars (played by two musicians at the same time) 2 vocal mics, two axiom keyboards, a multi-trac looper capable of accepting anything I send it AND avoiding anything I DON'T want to send it. I'd like two separate midi foot controllers as well. (using the softstep right now and I see no reason not to have two.) Oh, and then, while I'm dreaming, I think I'd also like to be able to send any mix of the above to a few different sets of in-ear monitors... oh, and I'd like a virtual mixer that could be controlled from an iPad from anywhere in the audience, and i'd like to send it all to the FOH sound guy with a simple stereo pair so all he/she has to do is set the level and can stay the heck out of our business, allowing OUR sound guy to tweak us the way we like to be tweaked and, presumably, avoid the soundman pissing contest. Wow, that feels better. Any suggestions? About any of the above? Thanks!

I watched most of the Mainstage 2 videos and I seem to remember there was a workaround for a count off or click track for in ear monitors? Wasn't there? I think it is absolutely absurd that apple's count off is audible through the pa to the audience. (Am I missing something?) Anyway, I need a count off and I want it in my in the band's in ear monitors so we can start with the track. (I want the click synced with the track.) And Bill told us how to do that, but I can't seem to find the video. Anybody remember where that was? Or his method? Thanks!

Hi, in Final Cut Pro (7) 101 core, he says that he doesn't cover importing video into a project, but instead to refer to 105. But as I see it, 105 is audio only. Is there a video tutorial about how to properly and efficiently import video, the different formats, etc. Thanks
