Can I jump in on this topic? I was trying to set up a buss with SD, to save CPU but my buss tracks in the track mixer don't have any send function, only input/ouput. How do i get the sends in there? Do you have to bounce instrument tracks [ ie Ivory} to an audio track? Any info appreciated. i just got 3 of the tutorials Martin, and they are really great......Thanks Braden

I recently put down a basic rhythm track, and 1 vocal track, but when I play them back, and hit the vocal solo button in the track mixer, all the instruments seem to be playing on that track. But if i solo the vocal in the arrange, thats all you hear......as it should be Anyone know why I'm getting everything in the track mixer solo ?? Braden

Is it possible to import some wav files sampled from an Roland R8 drum machine into EXS 24 ? I have Dave Dvorins' Mac video on EX and I know you can covert Akai/Giga samples etc... but I don't think it mentioned anything about other formats. thanks Brad

Thanks guys.....yes, I know about Redmatica, but as you say, its a bit expensive, and I was hoping I wouldn't need it to get these Wavs into EX. Steve, did you mean EX will play these files IF Redmatica,[or similar] is installed, otherwise, not? Is the Redmatica keymap what I would need if I went that route ? Hi I was using some of the midi key commands from the Mastering Logic video, which were quite helpful, but I'm finding that when I hit the key command for 'stop' on my kybd, it doesn't stop recording.....and a few times, appears to freeze the whole system, but eventually [30 secs of so], it stops.... I only have 1.5 gig of ram at present and no seperate drive for audio files. Is this part of the problem? This is with only 1 track of audio running. Any ideas? Thanks

no, it doesn't happen every time........usually after 3-4 takes.....sometimes more. And the overview does happen after the 'freeze' stops... To be more accurate, it seems to 'stick' in record mode, and ignores the key command to stop......

i've been trying to transfer some old cassette tapes into Logic [ actually Waveburner] to burn them onto CD without much success... I don't know if this is the right place for this question, but thought I'd try anyway... Anyone know you'd do this ? Thanks

I know this will seem really basic, but I'm trying to convert my midi tracks to audio files......all at once onto the audio tracks in the same order as they are in the midi configuration. I tried the" import all tracks as audio files" under file in the arrange, but no luck, and I haven't found any mention of it in the manual. I've been doing it 1 midi track at a time, which is idiotic, I know ! Any help out there ? thanks Braden
