Hi, i have made a master of a CD and imported it into Waveburner. The music is 60 minutes long with no breaks, it is used in healing treatments. I put 4 track markers with wave burner. Every time i have asked waveburner to included text (song titles/ album title) it doesnt do that. So i have been importing the cd into Itunes naming the CD and tracks before importing it to a playlist. Then when i play the playlist there is sometimes little audible glitches between the tracks. I have tried many times redoing the wave burner project, moving the track markers, re-importing the cd into itunes and hopefully getting a playlist that doesnt have glitches. i have noticed that when the playlist in itunes is stable the CD's burned from it are also stable and have know glitches. So, should it be possible to burn a cd with text from waveburner? and why are there glitches between the tracks when the cd is imported into itunes? Thanks for any help. TOM

Hi MTCEC and ROUNIK, thanks for your replies. I am away from the computer for 5 days so to answer your questions properly and try your suggestions, i'll have to wait till then. I have a g5 imac i think running 10.4.11, but i'm not sure. The Logic is 8.0.2. As far as a remember i printed text in the text window in wave burner ( i found the manual a little thin on the topic ) but it never came on the cd. I-tunes as far as i am aware reads text from all the cd's i have ever put in it. In i-tunes the sound enhancer is OFF, and as far as i am aware so is the crossfade. The odd thing is, that when i set the track markers in Waveburner and i burn the cd, then play it in itunes or import it to a playlist and play it, 4 out of 5 times the transition between the tracks is not always smooth. The music is for meditation and massage treatments, so even the tiniest glitch across tracks is noticable. But when i burn a copy from Waveburner then import to itunes (to write the text and then burn from there)and there is no glitch, there is always no glitch. So once i have a stable playlist to burn copies from all the copies are correct. Rounik ,i'll check to see what cross fade is set to, but i think its not ON. I must admit my Mac does some odd things some times these days, if i had the money i'd love a new imac and logic9. Sounds like its already running smoothly with reading reviews, but i'd like to get the best out of what i am working with, which when it works well i love working with. Hi This is quite odd. Been working solidly with Logic 9 for 8 months. When i go to bounce a song now, the "bouncing" progress bar gets to the end and freezes for a good 5 to 10 minutes. The bounce is somewhere like 10 minutes longer than the cycle region. This is really bizaare. I must say that though i love Flex editing, i am starting to suspect that Flex editing is far from being bug free. As i said its a suspicion, but my projects are sometimes doing unusual things after i start flex editing tracks, like Automation values seem to change, with extra nodes added. As i write this to you, the bounce that i am making of a song to send an mp3 to my client is still frozen at the end of the "bounce" progress bar. Oh dear. Help. Just hit ESC to quit the bounce. The fans on my 2011 mac mini were running fast as they do when i bounce a plug-in heavy song, even though it was at the end of the bounce for the last 10 minutes. Just about to install Logic update 9.1.7 Maybe there is a fix in it!!

Just installed the update. No change. This is really quit serious. I can't make bounces!! The play head just keeps on going after the END of the song in bounce mode.

OK i found how to get around the Bounce BUG. I had the "AUDIO TAIL" box tick. I untick it and Logic behaves the way it should. Tick it and the play head just keeps on going for ever after it passes the end of the cycle region. Say what? thats real weird. Here is another problem. A mate on his computer has WavesTune. We beat mapped a song and when ever there is a tempo change due to the beat mapping, Logic and WavesTune go completely out of sync, making it completely unsuable. We have been using WavesTune a lot, great great software, but with beat mapping, Logic renders it useless. Guess a way round this would be to "tune" the audio first and then bounce it with WavesTune and then beat map the song with "in-tune" tracks. or If the song is already beat mapped, bounce the song minus the out of tune track and then in another project import the bounced song track and import the out of tune track and work with WavesTune there. Rounik and co, i think you are in touch with the Logic developers, is that right? Could you pass these 2 bugs on? The Logic update i installed last night has had no effect with these problems. Not that many. 6 audio and 10 software, mainly EXS24's. Yup going to do the order of Tuning then beat mapping. Don't know if its Logic9 problem or just to much info using a 3rd party plug-in for the whole system to have to calculate?

Here is another oddity. When i click on an automation line in a region sometimes and its only sometimes, logic scrolls (not a slow scroll, but in an instant) the arrange page all the way back to the beginning of the song. It happens whether the song is playing or not. And the song will continue, so for example if i am zoomed in and looking at bar 150 and i click to make an automation node the song will still play in the 150th bar but i will see bar 1 or 2. It has happened to 2 projects in the last 3 months and is quite annoying. But if my memory is correct, this problem goes away after some time, maybe because i have done something which corrects this glitch. Anyone had this? I run Logic 9.1.7 and Lion 10.7.3 Thanks tOM

Hi there, just got my new Macmini 2.7ghz i7 with a 750gig 7200rpm hd and 8gig's of Ram. Got a geek bench score of 7570, so its going to be a heck of a lot faster than my old G5 iMac i-sight. I want to know the best way to set the Macmini up regarding hard drives. With Thunderbolt HD's just around the corner i am thinking of getting one of these http://www.lacie.com...ct.htm?id=10549 when they come out, and run the audio from one of the ssd's ( the Little Big Drive has 2 SSD's inside ) and the Logic project from the other ssd and run the Logic app from the internal drive. With Thunderbolts very fast speed i could imagine this would work well. I have seen several threads on the web of people running the project on a seperate drive from the app and audio and samples on yet 2 other drives. What are your thoughts on this? Also now that the MINI can have 2 internal drives, what about having the App and project on the boot drive and running the audio on the other? and samples on an external drive? and backing up onto another external drive? Another question is will a SSD help more with the boot drive or the audio/ sample drive? I could go all out money wise and get 2 internal SSD's and a Lacie little big drive with its 2 SSD's. I know SSD's are really expensive for now, but the speed that they run on video's on Youtube are amazing. Would they have a big advantage over HDD's when using Logic 9? Thanks for any help. tOM
