Hi. Has anyone heard of a likely update to Logic Studio anytime soon? As we all know Apple tends to keep such things close to its chest. Any titbit would be welcome.

I am an amateur, but keen and ethusiastic, user of Logic Studio. Having bought most of the Logic tutorials including Tips and Tricks I have been quite diligent in submitting reviews. However, I think it is important to provide feedback on a regular basis as the tutorials provide greater and greater benefit along with usage and acquired experience. Steve H deserves great credit and admiration for the way he has produced the Logic tutorials in such an informative and easy to understand manner given the obvious hurdles of delivering very complex concepts. He has certainly improved my understanding of the theory behind recording and mastering techniques and I re-educate myself on an almost daily basis. My wife plays the keyboard and sings and I "tinker" at being the recording technician. Over the past year, thanks to Logic and Steve H we can honestly say that our efforts have improved beyond measure and, as we understand even more, we go back and re-engineer. Indeed, it is great fun and totally absorbing. With TNT3, Steve is a welcome "visitor" every month and he is very, very welcome. Kindest regards to all at MacProVideo.

Can I confirm that I am on the right track. After mixing a project in Logic is that then bounced with the final mastering being done on the bounced mixed track? Thanks in advance for any help. Macscoop

It is the highlight of my month to receive Steve's episode of Logic Tips 'N Tricks. They never fail to inform and entertain. I have to amit that some of the Environment tips take a bit of deep understanding but they are clearly presented and demonstrate the immense depth of Logic. Keep up the good work and best regards. Hi Steve, I would just like to congratulate you on a highly successful TNT3 searies of tutorials. Their appearance was the highlight of the month for me and brought out many of the hidden treasures of Logic. I cannot profess to be a production genious but it was, nevertheless, extremely rewarding to get the vast array of hints and tips even although I may not use all of them. Hi Rounik. I was very interested in the news about your new FCPX tutorials and I was looking forward to buying the new software. However, the early reviews are anything but encourging. Apple's App Store is carrying the most scathing reviews of the update. Would it be possible for MacProVideo to offer us a considered view, expecially as your FCPX tutor has such vast experience of Final Cut Pro in all its incarnations. Hi Rounik, Many thanks for your reply. My own particular spin on the initial reaction to Final Cut Pro X is that it is far too soon for the so-called "professionals" to give vent to their spleen. If Apple is indeed redirecting their focus on their target audience, and given the fact that they have produced a completely rewritten application, perhaps it was a mistake to call it Final Cut Pro X. It is difficult to reconcile the initial rapturous response given to the software to the bile which is being spewed out on the App Store. No one could possibly have a mature judgement at this stage. As of old, Apple may well have the last laugh as this application matures. I for one will be investing in order to get up to speed and I have every confidence that Apple will provide all the "bells and whistles" necessary to complete a truly pro app. Kind regards to the team.
