No worries:) I forgot to ask if it's is possible to get a soundengineer to get his (or her) perspective as an engineer on using a hardware studio in one of the new tutorials. My goal on that subject is that if you get a mac, some software and some tutorials you don't really need an actual engineer, but still benefit from the engineers (old and newschool) knowledge. Dave

Does anybody know how I can route Apple Speech (from the system preferences) into Logic so I can record it? I can't figure it out (yet) and I didn't succeed in finding it on the internet. I use Tiger. Help:)!!!!!! Dave

Hi, Now that the Logic Studio Tutorials totally boosted my artistic confidence. I'm seriously planning to make music videos etc. in Final Cut Studio. At the moment I have my eyes set on the Canon HG21. The company does not have an Mac OS supporting software program for this product. 1 Will I be able to import the AVCHD content from the camera's harddisk into final cut pro? 2 Will I be able to use the imported AVCHD files seemlessly in Final Cut Studio? 3 Will Final Cut Studio run like in the Mac Pro Video tutorials on my iMac 24" 2,33 ghz intel processor, 3 gb RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 7600GT 256 MB RAM? 4 Any suggestions about other camcorders that use harddiscrecording? I'm planning to start filming with a camcorder first. In several forums I've read totally contradicting stories about the possibillities of camcorders and camcorders using AVCHD!!!!!!! Help:)

Thanks for your reply Rounik!!!!! The reason that I wanted to record onto a hard disk camcorder was not having to carry around tapes. I've come to the conclusion that the AVCHD format is not the best format for me to use at the moment. What kind of cassettes do you use? Wich brand? My budget for a camcorder isn't really limited. I might go for the Canon HV30 to start with and then purchase a higher end camera later when I have devellopped some filming skills. Main goal is getting good footage to practise Final Cut Pro along with the Mac Pro Video Tutorials (and of course to work out my own creative ideas:)). The purchase has to feel good. Next week I will be attending Apple's seminar on Final Cut in Amsterdam. I'll be firing away questions there too. Any tips on formats and camera's are welcome. Dave

Sounds interesting all the equipment:). Yesterday I followed a free workshop on how to use a camcorder. It came with the HV30. Very handy. All I use is a 24" white iMac, Canon HV30, Manfrotto Modo (tripod), M-Audio Audiophile external soundcard (usb), Digidesign RM2, Alesis M1ActiveMK2, Tapco Blend (between the M-audio soundcard and soundmonitors), LaCie Bigdisk extreme+ 2tb Firewire 800 for everything that can be saved and installed externally, LaCie 500gb usb harddisk for backup purposes (until I reach the 400gb), LaCie d2 DVD±RW with LightScribe connected through FW400 (mainly because of the iMac usually not ejecting burned cd's/demos consistently with the internal burner/player), Reason, Ableton, Logic Studio, Final Cut Studio, Music Tech Focus (special edition of a music magazine) and last but not least lots of MacProVideo Tutorials (saved on and played from the external harddisk). N.E.D. Rocks!!!!! Of course I'm just getting started. Hope this info is useful for other driven beginners:). Dave
