hello i have a newbie question about beat mapping. would relly appreciate any help. i have a midi region selected and open the beat mapping track in global tracks.i can't make the grid line of bar 1 beat 1 to higlight in yellow and to set the right midi note for it. all the other grid lines work fine. thanks for any help

Ski, thanks for the prompt reply. I watched the Steve H tutorial on beat mapping and he was able to draw the yellow line on bar 1 beat 1 and link it with a desired midi note. I'm not able to do that. maybe it's because i don't understand some basic rules about beat mapping.. anyway i enclose the print screen. the bad drawing points to the bar line i'm unable to draw the beat mapping yellow line on. thanks for the help regards[img]http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/5862/zrzutekranu20110627godz.png[/img]

Hello all, I have been using logic for some time now and have never witnessed anything like that before. I saved and closed the project then opened it and it didn't sound the same, as a matter of fact it was a terrible mess. it turned out that most of the software instruments and effect plugins, both the ones that come with logic and third party, had all the settings turned to default. that means e.g. ultrabeat and exs24 not loading the samples I set up before but the default ones and all the knobs turned to default, imagine what it does to 16 track multiinstrument. it already happened twice, the first time I was hoping it was a bad dream. It is as if saving the project worked only for the arrange window. I recently installed a third party software called UVI workstation and I thought it may be the cuprit. But the problem also concerned a project that didn't include the UVI at all. It makes it practically impossible to work in logic. I really hope some of you guys can help because it's terrible.
