Hi tekkedup, I know Cakewalk have a cool feature in Sonar called VocalSync which also works very well at syncing up two voices. I'd also be interested to hear what others are using for this task.

Re: logic and drum machines

I just saw this post. I am trying to set up my Yamaha RX-5 drum machine with Logic 8. Can anyone please help. I am using my MBox 2 Pro as my MIDI interface. The MIDI out is going from my MBox 2 Pro to the MIDI In on the RX-5. I have set up an Audio Track, and an external MIDI track. For the port on the External MIDI Track I have chosen the Digidesign MBox 2 Pro Port 1. This doesnt seem to work. Are there some extra steps I am missing?

I'm not too sure what port the drum machine is on at the moment. I'm working my way through the manual, and will hopefully figure a way out soon.

Hi Andrew, Can you please give us some more details on your setup? The Mac OS? Version of Logic? Does the EMU X-Midi USB Interface show up under your MIDI devices in the Audio MIDI Setup (Applications > Utilities)

Hi z, Are you wishing to use Elektrik Piano as a VST or AU? What DAW are you using? Have you tried updating Elektrik Piano to the latest version?

Hi z, Yes I remember that there was a Leopard Patch that needed to be installed. Double click the icon to mount the DMG installer an then run the installer that comes up. Can you try load up EP in another application, like Garageband and see if it works? If it does then you will know that either it is a VST issue (as Garageband uses AU), or a Live 8 incompatibility.

What is your reason for time-stretching an apple loop. When you pull the apple loop in your project it should automatically adjust to your tempo set in Logic. Unless you wish you time-stretch the audio for different audio results?
