Are any Mute buttons flashing in the mixer? No. Are all channels routed to Output 1-2? Yes. If not are the Aux's routed to Output 1-2 Yes. Do the "backups" for this project (in the project folder) have the same issue? Tried a few, all with the same issue. Have you tried switching to built-in audio and then to your audio interface again: Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio Yes, no change. But I just discovered an odd thing: I turned all the audio channel Input buttons on, and suddenly my one MIDI track was playing through all of them. When I deselected each one, the audio got quieter until none were selected, and at that point I still could hear the midi, only very quietly. Isn't that unusual? Earlier today (a couple of hours before this all happened), I went into the Environment to try and connect a channel with an aux track (I connected one virtual cable, then realized that was entirely unnecessary). I don't know if that cable could be screwing things up, but I don't know how to delete it. Also, could the fact that I added Omnisphere yesterday have caused an isolated problem like this?

Well, I gave up on that particular problem piece, as it seemed to be the only one with that issue. Until today. I've been working on a piece with external midi, software instruments (including Omnisphere) and a couple of audio tracks. I had just muted all but my external midi and a stereo audio track, so record the midi audio, and when I un-muted everything else, they weren't showing signs of any signal in their channel strips. I can hear the audio that I just recorded fine, but nothing from the other 6 tracks. Otherwise, I didn't change any of those tracks at all. I'm going to try repairing disk permissions (recommended on a thread for general repairs). Any further thoughts would be appreciated.

It was only the second that ever gave me problems. My usual interface is the M-Audio Firewire 410. I had an MBox for ProTools as well, but that has gone back to school.

Hi folks. I'm trying to create a somewhat realistic sounding 60 year woman's spoken voice from a 35 year male actor's voice. I've been using the Digital Factory, trying to tweak the Transposition and Harmonics settings to find the exact area, but it's not coming out very authentic. My initial attempts have been to barely increase the pitch of the transposing, while greatly increasing the harmonics. Anyone ever done something similar?

I'm not finding an obvious way to have automation repeat when I repeat a region in one track. When I repeat this region several times, the automation under the repeats is set to zero (infinity... no level). There must be a way to have the automation follow these new regions. Ideas?

Okay, I just figured out how to copy and paste from region to region, but still don't see how to make the automation stick with a region when either repeating it or copying and pasting it further along in the track...

I found this solution in the Logic manual, but it doesn't seem to work. I switched to Always, copied and pasted a region elsewhere on the original track, and when I went to automation mode, the nodes haven't copied; all automation is baselined (I don't know the proper term for this - when levels are set to nothing...).

Hi there. I just reviewed Logic 101, which told me how to reverse an audio file, starting with changing the Apple Loop to a standard audio region. (One aside: in the MPV tutorial, we're told that the new file will have to be something other than an AIFF or CAF format, but when I did this step, Logic told me specifically to use AIFF). Anyhow, my real issue: when the new region was created, it was shorter than the original, which was a full 2 bars. This one is about 1-2/3 that length, but there's a partial looping tail on the end to make it the full 2 bars. When I play it back, it's a faster tempo than the original. I did this again, making sure that my sample/bit rate settings were correct (I tried twice again - once on original settings, once actually selecting the settings my Logic session is open at - 24/48). Are Apple Loops created at a higher resolution?
