Loading software on 2 computers

Hello, I am thinking about buying Logic Pro 8 as a Christmas present for my son. We'll be having 2 Macbook pros in the house. Will we be able to load the software on both computers? Thanks, Kenny Q

Thanks, Another question: I am used to destructive editing with Sound Forge. Can I do the same type of edits with Logic Pro or Soundtrack Pro? Is there anything in the Logic Pro bundle that is comparable to Sony Sound Forge and Sony Acid? Thanks, Kenny Q

Thank you, I thought that Soundtrack Pro only does Non-Destructive editing. - Kenny Q

DJ Remixing with Logic?

I'm familiar with Ableton Live and found making DJ remixes & Mashups, fairly easy after inserting "Warp Markers". Does Logic Pro allow these kind of markers for constraining your beats?

Thanks for your super quick response. I'm very new to Ableton. I've learned a few things in a class but I only have Ableton Live 6 LE. I need to either buy Live full version or Logic. I really wanted to buy Logic because I think it will become the standard (and It looks great) but as a DJ I want to make re-edits and remixes to a lot of my music. I haven't used any effects yet. The instructor in the class recommended Ableton Live + Reason for DJ remixing. So maybe Ableton is the way to go.

Thanks, I think I'll get the Live tutorials. I can always get Logic sometime down the road when I want to create music. For now, All I want to do is make re-edits to already produced tracks. Another great thing about Live is that there are a lot of video tutorials already on the web. Thank you, Kenny Q

Moving Logic related files to an external drive
Jun 19th, 2008, 08:32
I have recently bought Logic Pro Studio and installed it, not knowing that it would take so much of my hard drive space. I would like to keep the Applications in my internal drive but put all of the extra content (Jam Packs, Demo Songs, Audio files, etc…) in my external drive. Where can I find these files? Where and how should I put them on the external? Please reply Thanks,
Kenny Q

Thank you for your quick reply. I will also move the demo songs to an external drive. Is there anything else that I should move to another drive? Thanks again, Kenny Q
