I am brand new to LE9. I cannot figure this out. I created a song in Garage Band and opened it in LE9. Everything sounds great in the mix except for when I bounce it. After bounce- The song still sounds great, but the grand piano is not sustaining at all...it almost has a staccato sound to it. (the piano) It does not matter whether I normalize or not...or whether I go directly to CD-DA...The piano does not sound correct as it does in the mix before I bounce. On "solo" where it is the only thing I can hear- the piano sounds perfect with a nice sustain. In the mix it sounds perfect too...Once I bounce- the only thing out of whack is the piano... I cannot figure it out. Please help! Thanks Kroes

Thank you- Bouncing in REAL TIME solved the problem. I spent about 2 hours trying to figure out the problem and one click ion 2 seconds from off line to real time did it. Thanks a bunch! Kroes

I the body of my work in GB and mix in LE9...but have a bad vocal track and want to redo it in LE 9. I have a USB mic. Will I need to make an aggregate device first for this mic? Once I do this- will it affect what I do if I ever want to record a vocal track in GB again? thanks

The USB mic is a Samson CO1U

It did not work. It appears in the audio drop down of LE9 and I can get levels and it will record but no audio on the vox track for playback and no audio on the vox track while I record audio using the samsung mic. I did not make an aggregate device- is this the problem?

Yes- it is checked...I created an aggregate device, but the new name for the AD won't even give me a level and still no audio. If I switch it back to the Samsung device I get everything (levels etc it will even record with levels- just no playback and I can't hear what was just recorded although I can hear all the other instruments. It is there- I just can't hear it..even on solo.

It works without the aggregate. I am using the Samsung setting now...I created a brand new track and it is working fine. I will have to play around with it to get the best vocal presentation I can get from a USB mic but at least it works now. I created a new vocal track and all is fine now. thanks for the help.

I have two questions: 1. If I click one of the small rectangles above the mix slider I can get reverb etc...my question is- I understand I can click bypass if I don't like the sound...but what do I do if I don't even like the plug in I picked. I cannot delete it and I don't want to use it- so literally I just have it sitting there "bypassed". I even have the apple pro training book and it does not tell me how to delete it and make that rectangle blank again. 2. I have several songs completed. Since all are recorded at different levels. How can I get all the tracks after they are bounced to have the maximum "volume" the same? Do I need to keep the master volume at the same level for all songs to do this? In other words I may listen to a track in my car on CD- the next track may be louder than the previous track and I have to turn it down a bit. How do I make it all the same level of volume? Thanks
