I was a kid recording reel to reel when the Beatles were still together. I cut my digital teeth on the Fairlight CMI. I am completely comfortable with the world of digital audio, and often give classes covering aspects of recording digitally while using what is euphonic about analog systems. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the effort you folks are putting in with these environment constructions. This is an area that parallels what engineers have done for years plugging together bits of analog gear to make a recording/mixing environment. Plugin Delay Compensation yeah, you may need to tweak your delay setting. Experiment with it. Record the guitar playing quarter notes exactly in time with the metronome, then play it back and use negative delay to bring it into perfect time. Record that number. Then try putting that number into the record delay offset. I haven't really thought it through, (I had a hell of a session last night!!) but I think that should fix it. Steve

Yeah, I knew I should have detailed that! Well, delay, obviously, delays the track, but you can also set a negative number, which advances the track (equivalent to delaying all the other tracks). The menu item allows you to enter positive or negative musical times (fractions of a beat), or clock ticks. Select any time and it will show up to the left of the selections. You can click in that space and enter any number of ticks, so you are not limited to the settings indicated. These are my first posts, but I keep an eye here from time to time. It is a great resource, and it's good to talk without abuse (or have I just missed that!!!).

hey folks, I shot some video with a D/SLR of a performance which I also recorded. I imported the vision into Logic (latest), synced it to the stereo audio track, then discovered NO "export audio to video" option in the FILE menu item!!!! WASSUP? Steve
