Hello Steve,
at first, many thanks for all of your really great tutorials. I love them, and you really helped me getting things working.
But now I have a feeling of stagnancy in getting better and better results. I'm trying to get a really deep (sub)bassline to fit on a low kick as perfectly as possible to get as much as possible low end energy without getting muddy sounds.
I'm not new to sidechaining and seperating sounds via the right eqing to get well defined frequency bands. But if I compare my work with those two tracks for example, I get absolutely disappointed :
http://soundcloud.com/morgan-tomas/octave-ahanei-morgan-tomas These one is really really pushing on a big club sound system, also on the sound system in my car.
Another example: http://soundcloud.com/hans-bouffmyhre/ferhat-albayrak-ater-modus-hans-bouffmyhre-remix
I have already analyzed the frequencies of these two tracks to get to know where the most energy sits in with the help of the analyzer function of logic's channel eq and having a look at the multimeter.
So now I'm looking for an approach how to get very close to my examples. I would be very happy if it could by stuff for a tutorial within the tnt series or anywhere else. I hope it is not to specialised. Perhaps, otherwise you have another idea what I can try to get the right way. All my attempts were in vain.
Many thanks in advance and kind regards
Michael
