Hello everybody, I'm using Logic 9 and an oxygen 49 keyboard. I set my knobs and buttons in a template song, using both the key command window and the midi assignment window. It works great!! But when I close my song and open a new one, most of the times it doesn't. Sometimes it does though, it's making me crazy. My keyboard is still set on the right channel and everything. I don't understand why Logic behaves that way. I don't want to spend my time setting everything up again each time I open or create a song. Can anyone help? Thank you so much. Steff

Hi, Thanks for your answer. I've just updated to 9.1.3 and it seems to be working better. But as with 9.1.2 it used to sometimes work and sometimes not, will see in a few days. If it has an erratic behaviour again I'll try the pref thing. Bye

Hello everybody, I've been trying to use Soundtrack as a audio editor within logic 9, using the shortcut [shift w] I edit the file, save it, close soundtrack window, go back to logic by clicking on the arrange window, and from there: - Either Logic crashes right away - Or my audio file is absolutely empty, inaudible. But I never got it to work. Has anyone an idea? I have LP 9.1.3 ad STP 3.0.1 Many thanks

Hello Rounik, Thank you for your support. I have OS 10.6.5 on a MBP 2.53 with 4gig of ram I've just tried again with a 16 bit 44.1 aiff file, and logic crashed. I don't know what you mean with Prokit. I have LP 9.1.3 and ST 3.0.1 which I think are the latest versions. By the way, about the other post, Logic doesn't obey to my Oxygen keyboard anymore and I don't know what changed between now and the other day when it was working just fine. I'll try to trash the pref. May be it will solve both problems if I'm lucky... And I have to be lucky by now!!!

Hi, I think I'm good now. Trashing the STP prefs made it. And the new drivers for my oxygen too, apparently. So simple actually!! I'm a bit ashamed :-( Thank you

Hi everybody, I just have a little question ti ask: How do I open that special arrange window, the one that has only the automation datas in it? I open the event list window and then open another arrange window... but that doesn't work for me. Is there something I should fix in the prefs? Thanks for your help. Stéphane

Hi everybody, Today I've written down all the things I tried to do and couldn't. And now I'm asking for your help! I thought it was better than opening four posts ;-) There are things I could do long ago with Logic ... euh... I started with 4.8!! 1 Like changing the grid division in the piano roll editor. I feel stupid that I can't do that anymore. 2 Nudge midi events in the piano roll by next quantize value, if different from the grid since I can't change it, or could be useful when using froove template. There is everything in the Key Commands but this one ?!?! 3 I can save a song as a project with all my esx samples and prog. But the thing is I don't use exs. I use Kontakt. Can I do that with other software instruments? If I want to go to a studio with my song but without my 200 pounds hard drives? 4 When I want to copy automations, (now I got it. I open automation event window, then another arrange window), but my new arrange window is a mess: the tracks don't have the same names, there is not the same number of tracks. It is really confusing. Thanks for your kindness helping me out. Stéphane PS I lost some time looking for the answers to those questions, but I also composed a nice tune today ;-)
